iROADS® uses a flexible implementation model, based around a selection of toolkits that can be combined according to user requirements, and the user permissions model within iROADS allows users to access only those toolkits and parts of the system that are relevant to their needs.

Whilst toolkits can be combined on a “pick and mix” basis, all implementations must incorporate the Asset Register, which is the central iROADS asset data repository providing mapping, reporting and data management tools. Users can combine toolkits around the asset register to maximise use of data, and to unlock its full value.
